K42 or V42 Keypad
The K42 Keypad is a compact keypad entry system that is known to be one the bestselling in the market today. Previously known as the Bewator K42, it is now part of Siemens, manufactured by Vanderbilt Industries and is now sold as the Vanderbilt V42.
It is a standalone code-lock system that can accommodate up to two four-digit codes – one can be used by an administrator or caretaker while the other one can be used by residents, employees, or other service providers.
It is ideal for use in single indoor entry. While it has an IP67 rating and is made up of weather resistant material, it is advisable to use this for both indoor and outdoor mounting. Should the user decide to use it in highly exposed locations, a separate SH2 or SH1 rain cover can be requested.
The V42 have backlit keypads that allow users to use it even during low lighting conditions. It is made up of a solid stainless steel and vandal resistant casing that can be mounted onto a door frame or wall easily.
